Working with Chronic Illness:
Clients should know when working with me, that I suffer from multiple chronic conditions that sometimes cause unexpected flare-ups that require me to reschedule at the last minute. I am living with a chronic intestinal disorder as well as cubital AND carpal tunnel symptoms in my hand, and flare-ups from either condition can inhibit my ability to not only make it into the tattoo studio, but also risk lowering the quality of my work. If I have enough insight to let clients know the day before their appointment that I am unwell, I try my best to do so, but sometimes I don’t experience a flare-up until I’m walking out the door and then have to rush to reschedule the entire day. Please bear with me and understand that I have no control over these flare-ups occurring.
General Studio Policies:
Forms of payment:
Cash (no fee)
Card, Google/Apple Pay, Venmo, Klarna, AfterPay (5% fee)
Please reschedule your appointment if you:
- are experiencing any cold/flu symptoms
- are currently pregnant or nursing
- are recovering from a surgery or have one planned
- are currently on steroids or antibiotics
I do not under any circumstance drive in dangerous weather. If the forecast calls for anything that alters travel conditions (freezing rain, snow, flooding/torrential downpour), I will need to insist on rescheduling.
Custom Designs & Previews:
Please visit Design Previews to view your options and purchase a preview if desired.
Please note that if you choose not to get a design preview and there are any qualms with your design or large changes that need to be made at the start of your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule and be charged a cancellation fee equal to 80% of the session cost.
Cancellation & Tardiness Policy:
Because most appointments are unable to be filled on short notice, any cancellations made within 48hrs will require a fee that must be paid within 7 days, or the client may become ineligible for future bookings. Any custom designs made for you will also be forfeit and offered to others as flash. Clients that cancel with less than 48 hours notice will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the session cost. Clients that cancel with less than 24 hours notice will incur a cancellation fee equal to 80% of the session cost. If a client is more than 15 minutes late to their appointment, the artist has the right to charge a $100 late fee in order to rearrange their schedule OR reschedule the appointment completely and charge a cancellation fee equal to 80% of the session cost.
Cancellation fees do not count toward the session cost.
Alternatively, any last-minute size reductions, design exclusions, or tap-outs that shorten the allotted time slot will still result in a full payment for the session. Please be mindful about the realities of your requested design size and your own personal ability to sit for the full session time.
Touch-Ups:
Clients are allowed 1 free touch-up so long as it’s scheduled 1-3 months after the tattoo appointment. Anything 4 months or later is considered normal skin wear and tear, and will be charged. You can also request a touch up during an already existing session, so long as there is enough time left in the appointment to do so, or more time can be added. Save yourself the trip!

How do I book an appointment?
Standard Booking
Clients can fill out an application at any time by visiting this link which will take you to the booking website! You’ll be asked to describe your tattoo idea, upload reference photos, and provide a budget that works for you. On the website, we will have a private chat available to us that allows us to discuss your ideas and get you scheduled in the book! A (non-refundable) $100 deposit is required to officially book and confirm your appointment date.
50% off Heal Your Heart
When booking, please disclose that you are looking for a self-harm scar coverup, and I will adjust the pricing based on the area of scarring! Please note that the tattoo will be prioritized to your scarred area. For example, if you have scars covering a 2x3 inch area but would like a tattoo 9 inches long, the session will only be partially discounted for the time it takes to do that section, and standardly priced for the rest. Scars should be at least 6-12 months healed and coloration should be close to skin tone or slightly pink.
What should I expect during my appointment?
Upon arrival at the Midway Arts building, please shoot me a message to let me know you're here, and I'll give you the go-ahead when it's safe for you to come up! The first 30 minutes of your appointment will be used to place the stencil(s), fill out paperwork, and grab snacks/drinks before we get started. Every 1.5-2 hours we will take a break for about 20-30 minutes in order to stretch, use the bathroom, grab refreshments, use bactine to numb the area. The last 10-20 minutes of each appointment will be used to take photos, bandage you up, go over aftercare instructions, and finally checkout.
Why don’t you tattoo certain parts of the body like the ribs, abdomen, or neck?
Because of the neuropathy in my stretching hand, I have weak grip strength, numbness, and pain when tattooing that gets worse when working on parts of the body that I have to stretch more than usual. Ultimately this means that I need to avoid most skin that isn’t naturally taut. Sometimes, I will agree to work on these body parts at an upcharge if I am particularly interested in the idea, so it can’t hurt to ask anyway!
